The all-in-one room experience

A 9-month project

Along with the traditional Parisian design, La Réserve Paris also succeeded into giving another dimension to its guest experience by adding a subtle digital touch at the very core of their stay.

The experience begins at the check-in. Guests are signed-in to their in-ipad app as soon as they walk into the room. Being already logged in, guests seamlessly use the iPad to order services such as room dining, well-being treatments, call a butler, request maid services as well as chatting with the concierge.
The experience goes even further as the La Réserve Paris App is also used as a remote to control the room lighting, temperature and the TV. Confidentiality is fully protected as the app does not remember anything ! No need to clean up the iPads between two check-ins. A privacy mode has been developed, hence no reset is needed from staff members.

The experience is also and of course mobile as iOS and Android applications for smartphone and tablets are available for download on the iTunes Store and Google Play.

The technology behind

  • iPads are preloaded with an enterprise IPA and controlled via an MDM to guarantee silent updates
  • A 2-way OXI interface with Opera PMS has been installed : guest accounts are created and charges automatically posted to bill
  • In-room iPads are auto logged-in when guests check-in so no account creation is needed from in-room iPads
  • Room control panels have been integrated : lighting and temperature
  • A TV remote has been integrated to the app : from the remote, guests access the full channel directory, the VOD, can plan La Reserve Playlist on TV, can instruct Airplay… 
  • At guest check-out, the iPad instantly logs out and is reset for future use
